Guest wsxedcrfv
I recently installed a new app that initially did run right after I installed it, but every time since then it fails during startup with an invalid page fault in module msvcrt.dll.I have probably 1/2 dozen different versions of that file on my hard drive. Is there any consensus as to which one is best to have in /system directory? The one I had was 6.10.9359.0. I replaced it with 6.10.9844.0 but it didn't help.I noticed that Microsoft has a KB article about msvcrt and page faults: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/197298/EN-US/I guess those files are (collectively) known as the "Microsoft Libraries Update" ? Are those exact files the files I should have on my system right now - or are they way out of date? (any attempt to actually download this update from Microsoft just leads in a circle). dencorso
You should be using MSVCRT.DLL v. 6.1.9848.0, which is findable at MDGx's.
