Slipstreaming XP SP3

Is it possible to Slipstream Windows XP SP3 into an original RTM disc? There are people saying no but on Microsofts Download Page (Here) it says:

System Requirements

* Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP Home Edition ; Windows XP Professional Edition ; Windows XP Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 2

which I take as meaning that it is possible to slipstream it into a RTM source.

Any thoughts/opinions?

Pookey, yes. When SP3 is added to a running Windows computer there are different requirements and some seem to think it applies to slipstreaming. It does not. Many here have reported slipping SP3 into RTM Enjoy, John.

The ONLY drawback you will have going from gold --> SP3 is you will not be able to skip the serial entry section.

I would suggest going Gold --> SP2 --> SP3 then during installation you can skip the serial section and get a 30day "trial" installation.

NOTE! This only works on rtm versions of XP.
