How to move my Activated Win 7 to another computer?

I installed and activated my promotional copy (from a launch party) of Win 7 Ultimate on the D: drive of my Win 7 Home Premium (C: drive) computer, and have been experimenting with multiple booting and XP Mode. I didn't like it.

I would like to remove it from this computer and install it instead in a different one. How do I do this? With respect to the "activation," I mean. Do I simply reformat the the drive it's on, install it on the other machine, and then activate it there? My concern is, won't Microsoft see TWO activations of my single-license OS? Am I to somehow de-activate it before reinstalling it on the other computer? And if so, how?!

You can install the media on another computer, but you would need to remove the OS from the existing one first. And technically, by "removing" it, you could simply delete the Windows folder. Make sure you delete the right one!

Then you can go install it on another one, but when you activate you'll likely have to call the Microsoft Activation Center number for your area. If you get to talk to a person, you'll need to tell them exactly why you need to activate, which is you deleted it from your old computer and are installing it on a new one.
