Howto play Windows media files with MP Classic

Hello,

I removed Windows Media Player and also Windows Media core.

Does anyone know which files have to copied to the Windows folder (system32 I would guess) in order to play windows media files with other players, such as Media Player Classic?

Maybe you should remove WMP but not the win media core

Yes but done is done. My nLited Xp works perfectly and I don't want to reinstall.

Maybe I could expand the necessary files from from the original CD? But I have to know which files.

You removed WMP9 and WMP6.4 with Nlite.

Now you want to play WM Video with an alternative player like Media Player Classic.

You also want to watch WM Streaming in your favourite Internet Browser (IE, Firefox, Opera) or directly in your player.
