how to change connected networks name?

this is driving me crazy. after installing windows 7 the networks im connected to all got set to "unidentified network" and now i cant change the names. tried disabling and re-enabling the network devices but it doesnt ask anymore and i dont wanna uninstall the drivers.

i couldnt even change the type of network of the device until i joined my lan to homegroup. but the other devices are still not changeable.

have you tried clicking on the icon of the network, on the network and sharing center ?
