Hello to all

Hello everyone;

I'm just kind of an old fart (6 grand kids) who likes to keep his computers maintained himself. Computers have been my hobby for about 14 years now. I have built 3 computers from scratch over the years (the last one was built in 06) and all of them still run and are in use today with the exception of my daughters old AMD K6 based box (my first build in 02) which was just too slow to use any more. I have done many OS installs, re-installs and upgrades, starting with Windows 3.1 to Win95 to Win98 SE to WinXP. I have also installed and dual boot Ubuntu on my main office computer (though Linux is unusable presently due to a botched upgrade). I do like to play with Linux when I have the time. My wife and I currently have 4 computers, 2 laptops w/Windows Vista and the last 2 desktops I built, both running XP Home. I am a member on many different forums and I just stumbled onto this forum while searching for some help. After looking around a bit, I decided to make this my main Windows resource. I hope somewhere along the line I can be of some help as well as getting help for myself. Cheers everyone, glad to be here.
