Dysharm Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Merry Christmas guys, Need a bit of help on integrating IE8 to my XP SP3. I have slipstreamed all d critical updates, wmp11 & drivers that i need but having problems with IE8. I hv searched & there is quite a number to choose from. So im asking for advice on which is the best method & of course with IE8 updates as well...Thanx.
Guest Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Select Internet Explorer 8 from the dropdown. Point it to the folder containing IE8 setup and updates. Click start. http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=97019#97019
benbenno Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 or here mate..http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/to...enu-true-addon/took me 5 days to find grrr, but happy to help, cos we seem at similar stages.it worked fine. I integrated all the non IE hotfixes 1st. Then made a new XP folder (copy just incase failure, ensuring i still have my workable XP) and integrated this addon with after the IE8 updates after it.Worked no problimoIf u find an easy .NET pack addon let me know cos thats the next challenge....so much stress Hey u should check out "Xpise" man, it makes all XP themes look killa. But in the install process use advanced, and untick the install of program: taskswitch.exe (its crudd)
benbenno Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 hmmm actually i think ive found .NET...http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?...sc&start=50i aint tried it yet but best looking solution (if interested)
