6666sbhdfv Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Helo. I have a problem with not restoring network drives on user logon. I think it caused by S1121 tweak. I'd like to undo this tweak without reinstall.Tell me please what changes to registry or whatever does the S1121 tweak S1121="Disable restoring mapped network drives on logon"
Guest Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 In what file can that code be found? Out of context, it does nothing.
Ponch Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 @5eraph; it's not code, it's the tweak (network section) as it appears, line is copied from the text files in nLite's languages folder.
Guest Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) Thanks, Ponch.nLite adds the following registry entry to nLite.inf when that tweak is selected.HKLM,"SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider","RestoreConnection",0x00010001,0Disabling the tweak on a running system should be as easy as running RegEdit and deleting that value, or setting it to 1. A reboot may be required. Edited December 22, 2009 by 5eraph

Guest Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Run nLite, select only that tweak and then look at nlite.inf
johnhc Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 -X-, thanks. Great idea, but how do you know that some files were not removed? Enjoy, John.
Guest Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Why would it delete files? It doesn't matter anyways as it's just a test run and I would delete the i386 folder afterwords.
Guest Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 -X-, thanks. Great idea, but how do you know that some files were not removed? Enjoy, John.I use QuickSFV to compare sources before and after nLiting. If text files have been altered then I find the changes with Diff.
johnhc Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 -X- and 5eraph, I am understanding. And -X-, I was asking how would I know that a Tweak or removal deleted files just looking at the nLite.inf. I would not care for my test run. Thanks much for both of your responses. Enjoy, John.
