Nhm_dk
I have problems installing winXP on an asus eee. I have this situation:[*]USB_MultiBoot.cmd can make USB-stick to be seen in XP Setup as Boot Drive U:In this preferred case the driveletters of Harddisk Partitions and Optical Drives will get there desired normal value. But I can ONLY se the u: drive - not the HD I would like to install xp on.
jaclaz
Most probably you have a SATA drive and miss the appropriate driver in the source. The dedicated forum to "Install Windows from USB" is casually named "Install Windows from USB" (as opposed to "Multi-Boot CD/DVDs") and is here:http://www.msfn.org/board/install-windows-usb-f157.htmlCheck the FAQ's first thing:http://www.msfn.org/board/faqs-t116766.htmlIf still it doesn't work (it would be very strange, as we have a great number of positive reports from the eeePC community) see if any of the alternate methods work.jaclaz
