MagicAndre1981 Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 SMSSInit is slow (81s):- <interval name="SMSSInit" startTime="8115" endTime="89908" duration="81793">compress the ETl, upload it to mediafire.com and send me the link.
MagicAndre1981 Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 C:\Windows\system32\autochk.exe scans your HDDs and this causes the delay. Check the SMART values of your OCZ-VERTEX2 and your 4 SAMSUNG HD103SJ Drives.
Lenaud01 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I disabled autochk via registry and it seem's to have made the boot to what I expect thank you very much andre
MagicAndre1981 Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 thank you very much andre You're welcome
Lenaud01 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 did you see anything that could give me a even faster boot Andre? or performance overall
MagicAndre1981 Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 make a new trace and send this to me. I look at it a bit more in detail.
zurzach7 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 After opening the summary_boot.xml I get the message The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Invalid at the top level of the document. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Temp/summary_boot.xml'. Line 1, Position 1 Boot action failed: Could not locate ExplorerReady event or mark.^Can you help `?
MagicAndre1981 Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 did you get an error message while running the command to create the XML?
MagicAndre1981 Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 did you see anything that could give me a even faster boot Andre? or performance overallfrom the trace I can see that the System process causes some high CPU usage and the causing function is:ntkrnlmp.exe! ?? ::FNODOBFM::`string'Run this:xbootmgr -trace boot -traceFlags BASE+CSWITCH+DRIVERS+POWER+LATENCY+DISPATCHER+PERF_COUNTER+PRIORITY+REGISTRY+FILE_IO+FILE_IO_INIT -stackWalk Profile+ProcessCreate+CSwitch+ReadyThread+Mark+ThreadCreate -resultPath C:\TEMPthis captures some more data (CSwitch, ReadyThread, CPU usage, threadcreate). But you should still check the HDDs and your OCZ SSD. Also create a full back of the Systemdrive and install the 1.35 firmware, your 1.11 is a bit old:http://www.ocztechnology.com/ssd_tools/OCZ_Vertex_2,_Vertex_LE,_Agility_2/
Lenaud01 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I sent you the updated trace and updated the firmware on the SSD what would you like me to check on the drives? thanks Andre
MagicAndre1981 Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 (edited) 1 thing I can see is that the service LANManagerService starts extremely SLOW. This is the service which you need to share files. Do you share files in your network? If not, set the starttype to "on demand/manual".Also, do you run the HDD and SSD in IDE or AHCI mode? If IDE change to AHCI. Edited March 8, 2012 by MagicAndre1981
