the thing you wants doesnt supports 32bit xp,its only support 64bits xp,which xp u are using

please install windows xp of 64bits and copy ntoskrnl.exe of win 7 and modified it and replace it works quite....

the animation is not stored in the ntoskrnl.exe of Windows 7, it is stored in the bootres.dll

Have you tried using a .gif or.bmp file and a regular boot screen editor? (Like Bootskins xp or Bootxp)

I used a program called Tuneup Utilities to change it.

(It's only a 15 day trial but it lets you keep the boot screen)
