kyes20 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 (edited) Hello,I currently am running a 100mb/s network with all the right cables and appriopriate router. I am using two diffrent computers one running windows 7 64 bit and one windows xp media center edition. I was wondering if anyone could give me some help or info about what kind of speed i should be getting through my network. Is it possible to transfer data through it faster than my current and actually pretty rare max of 25mb/s.Thanks for any help. Edited November 7, 2009 by kyes20
engmod Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 For a 100mbps network the absolute maximum throughput will be 12MB/s (b=bits, B=bytes)If you want 25MB/s you will need gigabit hardware.
