Missing expected files

Hello,

I have a problem to create a cd of xp for my acer aspire 3000.

I have found the i386 and valueadd folder on the pc and copying it in a new folder.

But when I launch nlite, when I select the location of windows installation, I have multiple error messages that say :

Missing expected files. Please report this error. LAYOUT.INF

Error while extracting file LAYOUT.INF ! Be sure that it's not corrupted or tampered with. Recopy clean installation files.

I have the same messages for the files : LAYOUT.INF, TXTSETUP.SIF, DRVINDEX.INF, INTL.INF

After searching in the i386 folder, it appears that these files are not present.

I want to know if it's possible to use the files that are already present in windows ?

I have found all this files in C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$ and they have the same modification date that the i386 folder.

Probably yes, but I think if you don't start from a known good set of files ( read "original MS XP disc"), you're in for a lot of bad surprises in the long run.

No, I have searched with hidden and system files whitout result.

I will try with this files and test my cd on a virtual machine.
