Platty Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Alright, So I have a virus it seems to be a pretty bad one at that. I am unable to access my Google chrome browser but Luckily am able to use IE but If I try installing let's say AVG when I restart nothing works except MSN I can still chat to people.This all started when my Norton 360 ran out and I had to switch for a new antivirus.So when I did that everything just went to hell now I tried reformatting my PC so I could start from scratch, I'm not even worried about backing up files and all that I just simply want to reformat.So i went to the site of my pc which is A Compaq Presario (SR5510F) And I found out that I can create a recovery disc by going to... Start > All Programs > Pc & Help Tools > Recovery Disc Creation.So I Tried making the disc and I get this message "The recovery partition could not be found"Also I know you can only do this once but I've never done this before So I have no idea what's happening.Anybody with a clue please give me something, I'd appreciate it lol. Thanks.
