hastings1066 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Is there a way to remove the "delete" option on a server 2000 system through group policy. The users in the domain have networks drive the company wishes to protect more than just a daily backup. Will group policy allow you to prohibit the deleting of files and folders on the mapped drives that are pointing to the server......
submix8c Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm in error, but I believe that a Mapped Network Drive is only a "pointer" to a Share on the Server and the accesses are controlled there by User, Group, etc.
