I am new to Windows 7 and about to deploy to thousand of new computers.

I just wonder what is the way to deploy Windows 7? same as Windows Vista? or are we having a new way of deployment method?

We have a big change since xp -> vista. Hopefully not too much changed on Windows 7

Its more like Vista than XP to deploy.

For 1000 machines, without using 3rd party imaging tools, WDS would be the go for you.

There is plenty of doco on the MS website and on here on how to go about setting this up.

Also, consider using MDT to create your images, and WDS to deploy the finished WIM files. Assuming you've got a Server 2003 or 2008 machine you can use as the WDS server, MDT 2010 is a free download.
