win 2003 + aic7902w

Featured Replies

Hi to all

i try to install win2003 on IBM server x236 with integrated AIC7902w chip

if i try to install from "clean" CD with flopy, install is fine, RAID disk is visible and win2003 installs

then, i try to integrate same driver from flopy, select text mode, drivers shown in NLITE lite SCSI textmode

Boot from CD and nothing. win2003 setup does not see RAID controller

i dont understand why

i try same thing with SIL3512 and many other, and NLITE work fine

but with AIC7902 ...

any solution for this?

nlite 1.4.9

win2003 standard r1 sp0

aic7902 raid v3.00.00.63 from IBM official site

driver attached

please help

tnx in advance

aic7902_raid_v3.00.00.63.zip

The driver looks OK from what I can see; it has the correct structure and everything. Two things:

1. do you have nLite 1.4.9.1, the latest version, or nLite 1.4.9 like you say?

2. Please attach your LastSession.ini (found in your CD)

Maybe you could also copy the drivers from the floppy to your hard disk in order to create an nLite CD; I don't know if it will change anything, but it could be creating some confusion.

Ok, i try with 1.4.9, 1.4.9.1 and older 1.4.1

same result, no SCSI HDD found

when windows from CD in status line at bottom, clearly see driver is loaded but no luck
