x509
I'm kind of a newbie-plus in this area, so I hope I'm not asking a really stooopid question. When I built up an unattended XP install using nlite, I found that for many of my devices, I had to run an install program off of the manufacturer's CD. Is there some way that I can back up all the installed drivers, including the inf files, once they have been installed, so that I can store all these drivers somewhere? Then I could slipstream all these drivers in and speed up my next install.Or, is there some way that I can just "expand" the manufacturer's setup.exe and capture all the driver files that way?An advantage of this approach is that if I do driver updates, I can incorporate those updated files into my install CD.Right now I'm running Win XP, but I'm planning to build up a system in a few months to run Windows 7 64-bit. Would the best approach or utility be different for each OS?Thank you in advance. :hello: x509
