bbolu Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 do i have to download sp3 again to make a light-weight XP Pro SP3 CD ?my system is already up to date and i don't want to waste my Data Allowance by downloading 300 something MB !is there any way of using existing SP3 files located under root directory?
johnhc Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 bbolu, if your original CD contains SP3, you are go to go there, but there is no way I know of to use SPs, updates, etc from a running system. Enjoy, John.
Ponch Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Your running OS contains only SP3 updates usefull to your system. nLite is building an install CD for an unknown system. It cannot choose the parts of SP3 that will be used or not (SP integration is the 1st step in nLite), it needs the whole 300 something MB packet.
