Did I install a Beta SP2 ? NO!

Hi every one

Finaly I was able to install the SP2 successfuly thanks to all who helped me with that problem

Now I'm on Windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit SP2 and yes it a Genuine Copy and the Windows is Activated.

Why there is a watermark on my background ?

Windows Vista

Evaluation copy.Build 6002

thats what the watermark says

my system now is Up tp Date,

Can any one tell me why I have a watermark on a Genuine software ? and how to get ride of it ?

this is the name of the SP2 that I have installed :

Windows6.0-KB948465-X64

I've downloaded it from Microsoft site about 2 weeks ago from this link:

btw when I go to My computer properties I found that my windows is a Service Pack 2, v113

what dose v113 means ?

v113 means that you have a beta version of the SP2 and that's why you have a watermark on your desktop. Download the final release of the SP2 and you'll be fine.

is that the beta ver ? its clearly not to me, I got the same name and the same size , if that is the beta ver where can I find the final release ?

I'll you system restore point to back to where I was before installing SP2, is that OK or I should use a deferent way ?

You`re better off with a fresh install. After installing SP2, run compcln in an elevated command prompt do delete the SP1 files that will be left. Good luck!

open regedit and go to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

And look for the BuildLabEx String. It must contain the 18005.
