nickster Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) Hi..first of all, I just want to say this is a great site. It has helped me immensely with various issues and tips etc.Now onto my problem. I used vLite to create a custom Vista Ultimate x32 dvd. I removed some pre-installed drivers, the languages, natural language files, movie, music and picture samples. I also integrated IE8, post SP1 hotfixes/updates, DotNet, extras (Dreamscene, Tinker etc) as well as drivers for graphics, wireless and audio. The installation itself runs like a dream and Vista is stable, functional and runs extremely well but there is one minor annoyance with perfmon.msc. When I run the 'Reliability Monitor' snap-in, I see some strange rectangular characters towards the top of the window as demonstrated below:I've done a little experimenting with vLite using various options to install images on virtual machines and the problem is getting caused by removing traditional chinese langauge and its associated Table Text Driven Input Processor. Is there any way to fix this issue post-installation or should just ignore it (perfmon itself works ok...although the screenshot is taken with the counters cleared), or will it require a reinstall to fix it?Many thanks for any advice Edited June 16, 2009 by nickster

Is there any way to copy those files back across to an existing installation or is it a case of repeating the vLite process and protecting the files? Thanks again
MagicAndre1981 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 open the install.wim of your Original DVD with 7zip and extract the missing fonts and place them into the Windows Fonts folder.
