Do Internet Speed Accelerators Really Work?

Hi All,

This has reference to my wireless dialup modem stick. It is from Epivalley, sold by an Indian company, TATA INDICOM. Even after reading several negative reviews about the product, I buyed it due to the network presence it offers.

However, the speed is frustrating and the only thing I can see on their website is SPEED+ being offered for FREE with the modem software. I was wondering if such things really wok. If so, there are plenty of software that also claim to increase the speed by 5 to 10 times. It is a different matter that when I tried using SPEED+, it would never connect to the server. I did not contact the support as I have lost my confidence in them and am considering replacing the whole thing with another ISP.

Still, the doubt is there. Please let me know if their claims are true and if yes, is there any reliable and SAFE software that can be used on ADSL too?

Usually these programs only change the MTU and other things that you can do yourself. Not worth the money if you ask me.
