ccl0 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 ok, maybe i'm blind, but i could not find this tweak anywhere with nlite. i just want to remove the icon from the start menu, not completely remove the appcan someone point me in the right direction?
johnhc Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 ccl0, I suspect there is none. I would suggest you use the RunOnce (Unattended) to delete the icon from the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools folder (at least on my XP x64 machine). Please let us know if that works. If it does not, then the RunOnce is running too soon (T-13) and you will need to use something like a RunOnce scheduled after first reboot or Windows Post-Install (WPI). Enjoy, John.
ccl0 Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 hmm that might be why i havent found it. i know theres options to remove -some- things from start menu.. and i think even certain icons.. or maybe it was to clear all of them and not certain ones individually? hmm your suggestion seems a little too much work just to remove 1 icon
b-man Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/31/read the clean up section just modify the location and items to what u want to remove
