DreamSkape Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Hi All,I installed Windows XP Service Pack 2. Later upgraded to SP3.I want to change my user profile picture but am not able to. It provides the option to browse and select. However, as soon as I click on the "Change Picture Button", it gives an alert saying "Automation Server Cannot Create Object". I do not know what it means.I checked GPEDIT etc and found no restrictions whatsoever. Can anyone tell me how to fix this.A screenshot of the error message is uploaded here:http://cid-f673bda5b4f6cba1.skydrive.live....7C_accounts.bmpThanking you,--Best Regards,Arun Kumar M.Signed: Wednesday, June 03, 2009, 1:43:43 PM IST
Tripredacus Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I found this on another site:To resolve the problem, disable all script blockers if any temporarily and try again. If that does not help, execute the following commands from Start, Run dialog: * regsvr32 jscript.dll * regsvr32 wshom.ocx * regsvr32 scrrun.dllIf the problem persists, try reinstalling Windows Script 5.6 from Microsoft site.http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en
markhor2 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Did not work for me... Which site did you find that?
markhor2 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I figured it out. I went too far with nLite optimizations.regsvr32 shimgvw.dllis the magic command.
