Degrees Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 (edited) I've been using nLite for a while now, i usually use the "safe" preset, then further customise from there. But every CD i make has the same few problems, obviously because im removing something i shoulnt be. WLM doesnt work properly, it won't sign in, the media keys on my laptop wont control my media player even though i have the correct drivers installed, windows networking stack acts stupidly, keeps saying "acquiring network address" forever after you make a new connection, until you refresh. If someone could tell me what im removing that is causing this, that would be much appreciated. I can upload my config file if it helps at all. Edited April 28, 2009 by Degrees
johnhc Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Degrees, don't know what WLM is. Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. Enjoy, John.
Guest Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I believe Degrees is referring to Windows Live Messenger (aka MSN Messenger).
johnhc Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Degrees, it's hard to say what is causing your problem because you took out so much. I suggest you look through your Last Session and see such things as Ethernet (LAN), Outlook Express, Windows Messenger and parts of TCP/IP. I would recommend that you put a few of these back in, then do some testing under a virtual system. Enjoy, John.
johnhc Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Degrees, why are you bumping when you have not responded to my last reply? Please don't be bumping, period! Enjoy, John.
