HDA Audio Bus Driver Required

Hello

I have a dell optiplex 755 running on windows xp sp2 x86.

I cant install the SoundMax audio driver, its asking for the HDA Audio Bus Driver.

I installed the the hotfix KB888111 from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111 but nothing seems to work.

I hope someone can give me an answer. thanks.

You could try to boot up with a Linux live CD/DVD to see if your sound works. I´m for 99% is a problem of your OS. Also download the latest drivers to be sure it's not a driver issue.
