GGW Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Hi,Running vista 64 ultimate vlited, tried tcpz and tried half-open but I get these watermarks linkWhen I patch with tcpz, I follow x64 steps of ...enabling test signing etc.. I reboot and get normal (readable) test watermarks then I run removemarks64.exe or something like that, reboot and get the above screen. When I patch with half-open, and reboot get the same screen. I can remove those marks by restoring original tcp file. How do I clean up the screen and make it work? Thanks in advance
shiloto Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Dont know how to fix it but i dont see a reason to patch it. Be careful if you try other patches. If you patch with the wrong version your TCP.sys will be corrupted and you wont be able to boot.About half-open. There is no reason to patch it. It doesnt affect internet speeds.

It doesnt affect internet speeds.I already fixed it by restoring user32.dll.mui from backup. Rebooted got the usual, readable "test watermarks". Then I applied half-open patch and all is good. For some reason tcpz gives me trouble on x64.
GGW Posted April 13, 2009 Author Posted April 13, 2009 Almost forgot, big thanks to Half-open's Dmitry for great tech support.
