Driver (non)integration?

I was a bit hesitant how to write this, without looking stupid, but I have a basic question:

The driver integration in nLite goes great, and they are found in a folder I386/NLDRV, but during the last test install in VirtualPC (10th in these past 4 days thanks to all the addons I want to try out) I couldn't find the audio (Realtek) and Graphics (Intel) Drivers on C:\. I still haven't tried finding the others.

SO, my "stupid" question is: are drivers copied onto C:\Windows\System32 only if the mainboard actually supports or requires them? I got this idea because I put the Intel Chipset exe through RunOnce and it didn't install, just unpacked.

Thanks for your patience

OK couple of things:

VirtualPC has its own "Hardware" so driver wise it will not use the ones integrated.

The drivers stay on the disk unless Windows needs them during setup.

However since the drivers are in the proper section and you are sure you have the right drivers for your hardware then a real install is in order.
