keithdib
HiI am new here and have a questionI am trying to do my first unattended Vista installI am installing it from a USB drive, all boots fine and setup runs etc etc, but I cannot get it to see the Autounattend.xml. I have tried with this file in the root of the drive and also with it in the sources folder, as this has been sugested elsewhere.. I have tried putting the Autounattend.xml on the USB HDD and also on a seperat USB pen drive.I have tried formatint the USB drive as both NTFS & FAT32, the problem is NOT with booting from USB or installig from the USB drive, my problem is that the Autounattend.xml seems to be totaly ignored by VistaAny help would be goodPS i Ultimate versionHi, I have now switched to a 4GIG USB pen drive, which seems to allow Vista to see the Autounattend.xml, however, as the install starts I noe get the following error"windows setup cannot install one or more boot-critical drivers. To installwindows, make sure that the drivers are valid, and restart the installation."This only happens if I try to install using the Autounattend.xml file, if I do a normal install from the same USB pendrive I do not get this problemI think have sorted the problem, still dont know what drivr it wanted, but I downloaded the example Autounattend.xml from on this site, and modded that, and it seems to be working with that... compared them and could not see what the problem could have been though...K Edited March 24, 2009 by keithdib
