TrevorT Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Sorry if my first post is in the wrong place/wrong format but here goes!I am fed up with the "get started with office live" pop up appearing whenever I open Word or Excel (2007 versions). Ticking the "do not show me this message again" box makes no difference. How do I get rid of this irritant.
nitroshift Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Hello and welcome to THE forums! Go to Start ---> Control Panel ---> Programs and Features and uninstall "Microsoft Office Live Add-in 1.3".
Guest vnvnvn2000 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Try This: for excel1) Copy your *.BQY folders into a test folder 2) Rename the file extensions from *.BQY to *.WQY 3) Using the Import Wizard, import these *.WQY files into XI 4) Using Live Office, reinsert the queries into Excel Hope this helps

DesertLady Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Hi, I too have the annoying Office Live pop up. I do not have a "Programs and Features" to select in my Control Panel, or anything that sounds like that. I am using Windows XP. I'll keep poking around for a solution, but if somone knows, I'd appreciate a note. Thanks.

You can get there directly by running appwiz.cpl in the Run box under the Start menu.
DesertLady Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Oh, thank you! I did find it in there, and I assume deleting it will mean one can't use Office Live . . . I haven't used that program, but not sure I won't ever want to. Is there a way to just stop getting the pop-up but not deleting Office Live?
beats Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Try this to remove the popups only. Copy/paste to a text file and save as NoLivePopups.reg. Then import it.Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\OLConnectorAddin.Connect][-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Excel\AddIns\OLConnectorAddin.Connect][-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint\Addins\OLConnectorAddin.Connect][-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MozillaPlugins\@microsoft.com/OfficeLive,version=[OCIVERSION][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]"OfficeLiveConnector.1.3"=-"OfficeLiveConnector.1.4"=-And this to uninstall it completely.Start > Run > msiexec /x {AE3CF174-872C-46C6-B9F6-C0593F3BC7B8} /qb
