How to make a shortcut to run app in compatibility mode

I need to run a portable app in Win98 compatibility mode. Every time I run it, since it is portable, I have to change the compatibility.

Is it possible to make a shortcut for it so that the shortcut runs the exe in compatibility mode, while being portable?

Please help me out.
