Intel GM965 what is the fastest possible processor?

Guys are there any programs that can tell me what the fastest possible processor I can put on my Dell Inspiron 1720 is?

I currently have a Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHZ L1 Cache 32kb L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache 0kb Ext clock 200MHZ

I have 4gb of 667 MHZ ram

I would like to know what the absolute fastest chip I can put on this machine would be that my machine would allow me to run on

I have read on some sites that the fastest is a

Intel T9500 SLAYX 2.6

but I have also read that this BIOS can support a 1066FSB 2.8 GHZ chip...

Where can I get a definitive answer anyone know?

EDIT: I also read that not Inspirons cant support Intel Penyrn Chips.

T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB cache)

How would i know if this processor would work on my machine.

It is the fastest Penyrn available.

Intel Core 2 Extreme Mobile X9000 Processor

Core 2 Extreme X9000

6 MB 2.8 GHz 800 MHz 44W

Another Edit: After a little more searching I have found out that I can put this chip on my Motherboard.

However my question now is

Because I have 667 MHZ ram do I have to change it to use the full potential of my CPU?

And also if my Laptop supports this chipset how much farther can I know? What other X series CPUs can I put?

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

I have read that X9000 works which is fine

But the X9100 is available and also the quad core x9300 is available

if my mobo can take it i would like to purchase an x9300

but I would need to know if my motherboard can handle it
