Wimgapi.dll issue

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm trying to vLite the Windows 7 public beta. I've downloaded vLite 1.2 and have installed the WAIK beta for WIndows 7 ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en )

I've installed the WAIK, copied the wimgapi.dll into the "C:\Program Files\vLite" folder but... vLite keeps asking for the wimgapi.dll file, trying to persuade me to download the vista SP1 WAIK...

Does that mean that the WAIK for W7 beta has an incompatible (with vLite) wimgapi.dll version ?

I'm quite puzzled...

Can anyone help me?

Thx!

It's really no puzzle.

vLite has not actually been updated for windows 7 yet and BARELY works on it.

When vLite was last updated Windows 7 was barely in alpha....

So expecting Windows 7 and it's components (i.e. WAIK for Windows 7) to work is just plain folly.

This is a comparison of original vLite and my modified version.

As you see, there are more files i added to the (right) modified version.
