Hi, I just found out how Vista's firewall can block outbound traffic as well. I started it up, and got it blocking. I have added a buncha rules, but I was wondering if there was some general list of exceptions to allow that deal with system applications. I had a hard time figuring out how to allow my wireless printer, and windows update. Now I'm having trouble allowing Remote Assistance. I've already allowed msra.exe, but I'm still having a bit of trouble. I've already configured port 3389 TCP/UDP to go through as well as two separate outbound rules. What do I have to allow for Remote Assistance to work? Is it a service or something? Is there some software I can use to monitor what's being blocked? I tried Vista Firewall Control, but apparently that's just another firewall that uses the same stuff Vista Firewall uses, and it didn't really help me. thanks for any help.
