anthonyaudi
Hello I have a questionI have a HP XW 8200 machine this machine can hold up to 16gb of memoryFor some reason or other I can only get the first 2 slots of memory to work anything I put in the 3rd slot I get a memory error problem. Now I have 2 questionsAs I am 99.9% sure that the 3rd slot is defective (because if I skip the third slot and put memory in the fourth i get no memory error beep but the machine does not detect the memory i put it in) (also if i put the original 2 gb ((4 sticks of 512mb)) in the machine it only detects 1gb total so i am assuming that the 3rd memory slot is broken)What is the difference between Double rate and single rate memoryI have 2x 4gb kingston ram2x 2gb (one kingston and one Smart)and 2x 1gb samsung ramis it possible that these rams are not compatible with each other in this machine.
