Yannis Cheras Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Recently i was experimenting with unattended Windows XP Pro Creation. So i install in one empty partition of my hard disk the Windows XP Pro Greek (32bit) with SP3 integrated. Then i download all the updates for Windows XP Pro Greek (32bit) since SP3 released. I make a batch file which install all of them and i use the /log:C:Updates.txt Command-line switch on all update.exe type of MS Updates. Then i examine the updates.txt file. There was some logs for about 3 or 4 updates that report that my system does not fulfil the necessary prerequisites to install them and therefore just exit. My question is if windows will malfunction when i integrate this few updates to an unattended Windows XP Pro CD with nlite or manual way.
Tripredacus Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 They may require that Windows be activated first. We have some like that, like IE updates will refuse to install if the computer isn't activated.
