I have to set up a wds server 2008.I´m from germany and because of that my english is not the best i hope you understand all what you need te help me now to my problem...i have set up a windows deployment server on servre 2008.i want to deploy vista and xp images to client computers. and of course this should be unattended. time is money i deploy the vista image unattended with die unattended.xml and this works exactly how i want it.but my problem lies on windows xp. is use the sysprep.inf which lies in the $oem$ folder an my wds server. but the sysprep.inf can not all commands that the unattendes.txt can.for example add users unattended or the choice for the classic look/menu.it looks like : C:\remoteinstall\images\xp\"Imagename"\$oem$\$1\sysprep\sysprep.infhow can i manage/configure an unattended installation of windows xp whre i have all commands?i want to have a file like the unattended.txt, which lies on the wds server and manage the unattended installation of windows xp.how can i do this? i hope you can help and understand my english and what i mean regardsd0zer44
Tripredacus Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Are you not using WSIM to make your XP install?I'm guessing that you are doing a network boot to the bootmgr off the server and want the XP image to appear there is that correct? Or does it and it is not installing?There is a thread about using WinPE to install XP unattended, so you may be able to boot into that first.http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=88270
