January 25, 200917 yr Hi! I have a problem with my windows. Everytime when I log on (when switch user, log on to another, or simply when start win, just after the 'welcome' scream displays), my monitor turns off for 2-3 seconds and then turn on ... someone have any suggestions because of what is this problem shows everytime? I made some changes in msconfig - in Services, in StartUp, but when i turn them back, the problem is still showing everytime when log on ...
January 25, 200917 yr What monitor are we talking about here? I've seen EXACTLY the same behaviour on older CRT monitors when switching resolutions.
January 26, 200917 yr Author I use LG flatron w2234s 22' The problem is not the monitor, i think, cuz it's brand new ...
January 26, 200917 yr older CRT monitors when switching resolutions.... with a deep "CLOING!" noise Yep! And a squirky image while it adapted to the new resolution...
January 26, 200917 yr Could be the monitor or the video card...I suspect that what is happening is that when you log in the screen resolution is adjusting for the settings of that user, which causes a brief loss of video (even if the settings are actually unchanged from one user to the other).I have seen this behavior in some our our computers, mainly laptops plugged into docking stations. I do not believe it to be a problem, just a limitation of the particular hardware.
