XP_NO Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Because I am not using them, I was wondering if it is possible to hide the favorites and libraries at the left pane in Windows Explorer. Does someone know if this is possible with probably some registersettings?I can't find it in the 'Organize' menu....

XP_NO Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 (edited) I tried that, but it is coming back. What I did:right click on libraries >> deleteright click on networks >> deleteafter about two seconds, everything back.... edit:It seems I can not delete 'Network' although the option is there. After deletion, everything is set back as it was.Without deleting 'Network' Libraries is staying away.Isn't there an option to get the old XP folder look back? XP_NO Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 Working thanks About favorites; no, it is still there.
yken Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 c:\users\yourname\links.in this folder there are shortcuts to your favorites bar. If you delete these files they are gone but only favorites name is still there.
geordie17 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 how about make a shortcut on your desktop of explorer.exe -> right click -> properties -> shortcut tab -> target line put this C:\Windows\explorer.exe /e,::{20d04fe0-3aea-1069-a2d8-08002b30309d}this will open explorer in Computer rather then libraries.
