jslegers Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Hello,First of al a happy new year.I have a strange problem. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit (SP1). When I install a game (I have tried a few) it doesn't create any shortcuts. Not in the Startmenu or on the desktop. Is this a common problem ?Kind regards,John
browney595 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 It depends on the gameI have recently installed Command & Conquer 3 and red alert 3 on vista ult x64 and x86 which both systems do not have desktop icons or start menu icons
Kotuku Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Usually the set-up will give you a choice of whether you want a Desktop shortcut, during the install procedure. If it doesn't, you can sometimes find the shortcuts already in place in the final directory. But I think you are right, many newer games are not doing this (Farcry2 for example)
