zaffarn
Hi I am newbie to windows installation cd creation using NLite, I am trying to create bootable setup cd for windows XP with all the initial drivers setup, softwares such as AVG, adobe reader, and few other free softwares, however what I dont want is predefined serial number, I want the setup to install windows, setup the drivers, setup users but NOT predefine the serial number or activate windows. I want the user to enter the serial number when he/she first uses the computer, what is the best way to go about it. in nut shall the following should happen1) install windows2) setup drivers3) install any applications4) complete installation execpt for serial number5) when user start windows for first time, prompt for Serial number6) activate windows7) setup complete.RegardsZafi

ricktendo
You cant do the serial thing at logon with nLite but you can leave the serial blank in the unattended section and it will ONLY prompt for serial during install, the rest will be unattended Edited December 25, 2008 by ricktendo64
