Raoul90 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Hey,Is there a way to install Google Chrome silently without the setup downloading its binaries first? Thanks in advance. Raoul
Grake Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 http://apdubey.blogspot.com/2008/09/google...stallation.htmlNot that you need to download from rapidshare from that link, but you can do the same to get the setup file from temp folder.
Raoul90 Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 (edited) What is the "temp download folder" of Chrome? I have searched for that, but i dont think i succeeded.Thought it was:C:\Documents and Settings\Raoul\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\ApplicationBut im not sure.See:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=122855edit:Found it:C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Update\DownloadThe chrome_installer.exe is silent from itself and is 8,36MB Edited November 29, 2008 by Raoul90

radix Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I´m still trying to figure out how to get rid of the "first run" popup menú. I used regshot to get a picture of the system changes that the first run made and copied every file and modified the registry manually and still nothingPut an empty file called First Run here: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\ApplicationAlso you can add Bookmarks and others to have a customized installation.
Raoul90 Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) For Win7:"%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application""%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default"From the second one you can backup your stuff, (Cookies, passwords, etc), passwords are in the Web Data file Edited November 20, 2009 by Raoul90
