Kindovic
Hi all,I'm very puzzled by this Vista's network connection icon (the one that resides in the system tray). Sometimes there's a globe indicating that I'm connected to the internet but somehow the globe will disappear. So, I thought that I'm being disconnected from the Internet, but, I'm still able to access the Internet. How does vista detect the Internet connection? Also, how do I convince the end-users that it is perfectly normal for vista to have this behavior? Thanks all!!

ripken204
when the globe is gone it means that you only have a LAN connection, so maybe your internet dies for a few secs and comes back on, thats my only experience with why that would happen.it could also be a crazy network you are on. is that at home or somewhere public?
