medicsix Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 (edited) Hi, I set up windows virtual machine 2007 64 bit to test a windows XP 64 bit disk, I'm using An Asus A8N Sli SE mother board running XP 64 bit but when the virtual starts to load I get that the OS can only be installed on a 64 bit system. When setting up the virtual machine doesn't give a 64bit option just windows XP. The only other option I see that is higher is for vista. What can I do to test this Disk? Just tried setting up a VD using the Vista option, Nothing. Help Please Edited November 18, 2008 by medicsix
TranceEnergy Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I also had this problem with sun's vm, so i went back to vmware workstation/server. VmWare Server is a nice free to use, no sound support tho, that works fine for xp x64. Kurt Aust knows more on this.
medicsix Posted November 19, 2008 Author Posted November 19, 2008 Thanks, Hope Kurt's around, I'll check VmWare Server out.
