IE and email - pinned to start menu

Been searching for a few days for a clue how to do this - but nothing.

Does anyone know if there's a registry tweak to remove the IE and Windows Mail links on the start menu? I'd like a vlite'd version of Vista and would like to remove them without installing anything in their place.

So far I've found the necessary tweaks to remove all pinned items or force classic start menu.....but this isn't what I want to achieve.
