altapr Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) I'm trying to get a mirror working in Windows Server 2008 (32bit) on my NF4 motherboard. Everything seems okay in the bios.-The OS is loaded on a single 100gb pata-hdd-The mirror detects and reports as "healthy - 500gb"But when I load into windows, I see two separate drives in disk management. I've loaded the latest XP, Vista, and 2003 nForce drivers (since there are no 2008 drivers listed) but it still fails to properly detect the array. Edited October 20, 2008 by altapr
Tripredacus Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Welcome to the work of non-certified hardware. Unless you can get a 32bit 2008 driver in there, you might just be SOL. I'm encountering a similar problem with a 3ware 9550. Its a hope for the best situation to be honest.Typically, the Vista 32bit drivers should be good enough. You might have to edit the INF so you don't have to force the driver to be installed tho.
altapr Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) Ugh, since this isn't a dedicated card and it's just a motherboard option run by drivers, I might as well just use the 2k8 software raid, right? Edited October 20, 2008 by altapr

But you might try the software option if your board allows you to do it.
