schuh
I made a slipstreamed version of XP Home using the latest version of Nlite. I included SP3 and very little else was changed. The XP disk I made was used to install XP on a HP machine with a new hard drive and appeared to install just fine. Untill I tried to install HP drivers. I tried to install two. The video driver and the audio driver. Both would get so far and pop an error similar to: "You must be the admisistrator to install this driver update. Error (9999)"I had administrator privliedges - what going on here ???????I later reinstalled XP using the original disk I used to make the slipstreamed one and had NO problems installing the drivers. Thanks for any help offeredschuh Edited October 19, 2008 by schuh
