hyperl1t3 Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 (edited) now i'm pretty confuzzled when it comes to this. i can do a clean full install of windows xp, but when i use my n-lite version, it asks me for a second disc (even after switching it with the full install disc didn't satisfy it's needs).i'm installing it on a Dell 1705 core duo with 1 gig of ram. if you need any more information please let me know.Update: i did a full format and install of the nlite version and i got to file usb***.sys right before it said "Insert the CD labeled: Windows XP Professional CD2 into your CD-Rom drive."Update: trying old version of N-lite. 1.4.8 Edited October 18, 2008 by hyperl1t3
hyperl1t3 Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 (replying to your own posts is like laughing at your own jokes... ow)ok, i think i found the issue. the file is usbd.sys. right after (or while installing that file) it bombs to the message above and so far, nothing can fix it. i did some research and found out that this maybe a solo issue with the inspiron i9400/e1705 laptops.any insight or recognition of this thread would be wonderful.
Guest User1010 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Didn't your laptop come with a recovery CD when you purchased it?
