user cant logon to domain after using autologon feature

Just let the install give it a random name and you should be able to rename it while on the domain.

I have this in my winnt.sif

ComputerName=*

yep, tried that. i know about that but it stops in the middle of the install to get a name. id like it somehow to get it automatically so i can step away and have it completely unattended

Have the winnt.sif join the PC to a workgroup while you have ComputerName=* and see if it still stops to prompt you for a name.
