Hi Everyone,

Is direct x 9.0 included in the SP3 service pack ? So further files would or would not be needed in the nlite build to achive direct x in a Windows install?

Also, is there a simple way to include WMP 11 in a nlite build?

Thanks!!

dx9 has been included since sp2. maybe even sp1 but i forget that far back. all you need to be up to date is the update files for dx9

So far , I've downloaded this file : DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime AddOn - 0.5.1 (August 2008) ,

now RyanVM web-page says something about this file : DirectX for Managed Code AddOn - 1.0.0a

. I use .net 2.0 , but I'm not going to attempt to add .net 2.0 to

my nlite build as it seems to complicated. I will add the .net 2.0 after doing a Windows install with my nlite build.

The only .net in my nlite build , is whatever default .net version is in the SP3 service pack. So do I need to include

DirectX for Managed Code AddOn - 1.0.0a in my nlite build ?

And one more question , do I need to add this file : DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer , to my

nlite build?

Thanks!

Since you plan on installing .NET anyways, then yes, include the DirectX for Managed Code AddOn. You dont need the web installer.

Thanks for your help with this issue.
